Cinco de Mayo Sunset San Salvador Sail May 5
Staged aboard the 16th century galleon replica, San Salvador, this 21 and up event magically transports you back in time when explorer Juan Rodriquez Cabrillo’s vessel reached America’s West Coast in 1542. The festivities include lovely live Spanish guitar music, custom cocktails, and delicious food.

Wildflower Show May 5-6

La Jolla Half Marathon & Shores 5K May 20
The course follows a scenic coastal route before reaching the challenging climb to the summit of Torrey Pines State Park. The course then rolls atop Torrey Pines mesa, continues down through residential La Jolla Shores, and finishes at La Jolla Cove. For those interested in a shorter option, the La Jolla Shores 5K offers a mostly downhill course.

Navy’s Bay Bridge Run/Walk May 21
The unique 4-mile run/walk has a one-of-a-kind spectacular panoramic view as participants make their way to Coronado’s beautiful Tidelands Park. During the finish line celebration, runners receive a Finisher’s medal, event T-shirt, and enjoy sponsor booths. Plus, all participants are eligible for drawing prizes and complimentary transportation back to downtown.
